The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum brings Lincoln’s life and defining moments in American history into an immersive museum experience. Its signature exhibit, The Journey, leads visitors through 27 distinct scenes across 13,249 square feet, following Lincoln from his childhood through his presidency and the Civil War.

Nassal produced shop fabrication drawings then fabricated and installed many of the environments that shape The Journey. Period façades, exhibit dioramas, custom sculptures, scenic treatments, rockwork, finish carpentry and specialty props establish historically inspired settings as visitors move from one chapter of Lincoln’s story to the next.

The experience blends historical interpretation with theatrical design, placing visitors within carefully crafted scenes rather than simply presenting history from a distance. Architecture, artifacts and immersive storytelling work together to explore the people, places and events that influenced Lincoln’s life and leadership.
