The Permian Basin Petroleum Museum explores the science, technology and innovation behind the energy industry through immersive environments and hands-on experiences. As part of an $18 million expansion and renovation, the museum introduced new ways for visitors to understand petroleum production and the role energy plays in everyday life.

Nassal produced fabrication drawings then fabricated and installed more than 3,200 square feet of scenic rockwork, two full-scale cityscape environments, more than 20 interactive stations and over 40 custom artifact display cases. Custom graphics, textured scenic flooring and four distinct styles of hand-carved rockwork add depth and variety throughout the experience.

From energy production and emerging technologies to industry careers and supplemental energy sources, the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum turns complex subjects into approachable opportunities for discovery. Interactive exhibits encourage visitors to explore the people, processes and innovations that continue to shape the world of energy.
