At Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame® at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, guests step inside the remarkable stories of the astronauts who transformed humanity’s dreams of spaceflight into reality. Through immersive environments, authentic artifacts and interactive experiences, the attraction celebrates the courage, determination and innovation that propelled America’s space program forward.

Nassal served as the exhibit fabricator for this landmark attraction, providing fabrication and installation of interactive exhibits, themed environments and custom display elements. Working on site for more than seven months, the team helped create a highly engaging experience where visitors can explore the challenges, achievements and defining moments of space exploration through more than 40 interactive exhibits and over 200 pieces of space memorabilia.

One of the attraction’s signature features is a collection of nine 12-foot storytelling pods inspired by the interiors of space shuttles. Each pod explores a characteristic shared by history’s greatest explorers, from curiosity and passion to perseverance and courage, while combining multimedia presentations with authentic artifacts that bring personal astronaut stories to life. As part of the $20 million enhancement, the experience also incorporates a large-scale 3D theater presentation, shuttle-inspired exhibit spaces and leading-edge technology that places guests at the center of the action.

Rather than simply displaying artifacts, Heroes & Legends invites visitors to reflect on the qualities that drive innovation and discovery. By connecting historic achievements with the dreamers and explorers of tomorrow, the attraction creates a lasting sense of inspiration that extends far beyond the gallery walls.
