At Fernbank NatureQuest, young explorers step into a 7,000-square-foot, multi-level environment inspired by the landscapes of Georgia and the southeastern United States. Sound, touch, sight and live animals turn the experience into an active journey through six distinct ecosystems where nature becomes something children can explore firsthand.

More than 100 hands-on exhibits encourage kids to climb, investigate and discover at their own pace. A central clubhouse provides another hub for exploration, while more than 50 participation elements blend physical activities with embedded technology to create an experience designed for a wide range of abilities.

Nassal fabricated and installed the interactive exhibits, displays, models, architectural elements, themed environments, graphics and signage throughout NatureQuest. Each component works together to build an immersive setting where environmental storytelling and hands-on learning are woven naturally into the visitor experience.

With five species of live animals native to Georgia incorporated into the exhibit, Fernbank NatureQuest brings children closer to the environments they are discovering and creates a playful introduction to the natural world.
