The National Museum of Crime & Punishment invited visitors to explore the evolving story of crime, justice and forensic science through immersive environments and interactive exhibits. From medieval punishment and Old West outlaws to modern cybercrime, each gallery offered a different perspective on how criminal activity and law enforcement have changed over time.

Nassal fabricated and installed the museum’s exhibits, themed environments and scenic elements, creating period-specific settings that gave each chapter its own distinct sense of place. Custom rockwork wall textures, detailed façades and environmental theming added depth and realism as visitors moved through stories of pirates, gangsters, notorious criminals and law enforcement.

Hands-on experiences brought another dimension to the museum. In the interactive Crime Lab, guests could examine mock crime scenes, analyze evidence and explore forensic techniques such as DNA analysis and toxicology, while the year-round filming set for America’s Most Wanted connected the experience to contemporary crime fighting and public safety.

Rather than simply presenting artifacts behind glass, the National Museum of Crime & Punishment placed visitors inside the story. Immersive exhibit fabrication, interactive learning and scenic storytelling turned the complex history of crime and justice into an engaging museum experience.
