Nassal completed extensive custom rockwork and habitat theming for Polar Frontier, creating immersive Arctic environments that bring guests face to face with some of the world's most iconic northern wildlife species. Through detailed scenic fabrication and naturalistic habitat design, Nassal helped transform the exhibit into a realistic representation of the frozen North, enhancing both animal habitats and the overall visitor experience.

The project included the self-performed fabrication and installation of custom rockwork throughout the attraction, creating rugged Arctic landscapes for polar bears, Alaskan brown bears and Arctic foxes. Designed to replicate the natural beauty of northern ecosystems, the scenic rock formations provide authentic habitat environments while supporting animal welfare, exhibit durability and immersive guest engagement.

Polar Frontier transports visitors into a world of snow-covered landscapes, rocky coastlines and Arctic wildlife encounters. Guests can watch polar bears swim overhead through underwater viewing areas, observe brown bears as they explore and play and discover Arctic foxes within carefully crafted den environments. Nassal's custom rockwork serves as the foundation for these immersive habitats, helping create realistic settings that reflect the environments these animals inhabit in the wild.

The attraction also features interactive family experiences, including a polar-themed play area where children can climb, explore and engage with Arctic-inspired environments. Educational exhibits within the Battelle Ice Bear Outpost provide hands-on learning opportunities that connect guests with important conservation messages while highlighting the challenges facing Arctic ecosystems.
