Designed to capture the spirit of a bustling seaside pier, Truist Pier 225 immerses guests in the sights, sounds and energy of California’s coastal environments while creating unforgettable encounters with marine wildlife. Through custom theming, scenic fabrication and environmental storytelling, Nassal helped shape an engaging destination where education, entertainment and animal experiences come together.
Nassal completed the theming, fabrication and installation of custom show set façades, building façades and artificial rockwork throughout the exhibit. Inspired by the character of California’s waterfront communities, the team crafted detailed architectural features, scenic elements and habitat-inspired environments that support guest immersion while standing up to the demands of a high-traffic aquarium setting.
At the heart of the gallery is the home of the popular Under the Boardwalk sea lion presentation, where guests can observe California sea lions up close while learning about their behaviors, adaptations and the ecosystems they inhabit. Thoughtfully designed viewing opportunities and themed surroundings create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages discovery and fosters a deeper appreciation for marine life.
More than a backdrop for animal encounters, Truist Pier 225 creates a strong sense of place that makes every visit feel like a walk along a vibrant coastal boardwalk. The carefully integrated scenic details help transform educational moments into memorable experiences, allowing guests to connect with the animals, the environment and the stories that make the exhibit unique.
