At Oceans! at Indianapolis Zoo, visitors are encouraged to explore the ocean not as spectators, but as active participants in the experience. Through interactive exhibits, live animal habitats and hands-on learning opportunities, the attraction introduces guests to the diversity, complexity and importance of marine ecosystems around the globe.

Nassal developed the fabrication drawings and delivered the custom exhibit components that bring the experience together. The project included fabrication and installation of interactive displays, educational kiosks, signage, graphics, guest polling stations and hanging banners integrated throughout the exhibit's five themed galleries. Each element was designed to support visitor engagement while creating a cohesive experience that guides guests from one ocean environment to the next.

A variety of custom-built features help transform educational content into memorable experiences. Nassal fabricated coral touch tanks, interactive learning stations and custom millwork for exhibit displays, along with integrated audio-visual components that enhance storytelling throughout the attraction. The scope also included scenic rockwork for the penguin habitat, creating naturalistic surroundings that complement the exhibit while supporting both animal care and guest viewing opportunities.

Rather than presenting information through traditional displays alone, Oceans! creates opportunities for guests to learn through participation and discovery. By combining interactive technology, live animal experiences and immersive exhibit design, the attraction encourages visitors to develop a deeper appreciation for the ocean and the role it plays in sustaining life around the world.
