Nassal delivered extensive custom rockwork and scenic fabrication for Deep Space Auditorium, the largest and most recognizable gathering space on the Epic Systems campus. Designed to create a memorable arrival experience, the project transformed the building's exterior into an immersive, space-inspired environment that blends architectural design with themed storytelling and large-scale scenic construction.

As part of the project, Nassal fabricated and installed more than 50,000 square feet of custom scenic rockwork, creating a dramatic façade inspired by the rugged terrain of a distant planet. To achieve the highly detailed appearance, the team sculpted, textured and hand-painted prefabricated rockwork panels off-site before transporting and seamlessly integrating them into the building's exterior. This approach allowed for exceptional craftsmanship while supporting efficient installation and long-term durability.

The finished environment creates a striking visual landmark that immediately captures attention and reinforces the auditorium's unique identity within the Epic Systems campus. Layered rock formations, realistic textures and carefully applied scenic finishes work together to evoke the look and feel of an extraterrestrial landscape, transforming a functional building into an immersive destination.
